One handsome pelican lookin atcha

that's one handsome fella, isn't it? Looks like he's had his tuxedo (feathers :-)dry cleaned to perfection! And look at that at the very tip of his pelican poutch... anyone know what they use that "thing" for?

    I think I figured that dohickey out.........
    Without having researched it yet, I'm willing to be it's designed to assist in keeping his dinner IN the pouch when he let's out the excess water from his fishing expedition :-)
