Is #1 any better?? Its almost like a self portrait - this is what happens when your the only female in the household. #2 is what I currently have posted. Thanks again for the feedback.

    #1 seems stronger, but also too busy. There is a lot to look at, can you draw my attention to one thing or another? Maybe use a shallow DoF like in #2 to keep one item in sharp focus and send the other items to the background.

    #2 is better in technique I think, but the subject does not have a lot of punch for me. Maybe I don't connect because I'm a guy headscratch.gif

    An idea: Take the hand in photo #1 and put it in the foreground of photo #2 - crop in tight on the fingernail and polish while leaving the candles and wonderful DOF you've created in the background.
