    Really nice stuff here.thumb.gif

    Looks like a great spot.

Us ignorant folks want to know where...what kind of birds...seals...etc.

The place is La Jolla CA a city near San Diego. I am told it is the wealthiest city in the country. Torrey Pines Golf Course is there, and my son got married there this weekend. It gave me a chance to go into the village for a couple of hours and shoot.

As far as the birds go, you guys know a lot more than I do when it comes to IDs. I do know they are Pelicans, and the Seals are Sea Lions rolleyes1.gifrolleyes1.gif

Wonderful, beautiful photos thumb.gif. These creatures all seem so exotic to me - and the scenery! Great stuff I don't get to see in New Joisy.

Where in La Jolla is this?!?!?!?

I lived in La Jolla for four years and never saw this! Is it by the cliffs? Or, is it closer to Torrey Pines?

    Great job on these photos!

Wonderful photos. Those are brown pelicans btw. I also see a cormorant, but I am not sure which kind.

Those are great! Look at all that guano in that first pic! Looks like one of the sea lions got a bit of net or line caught around her neck. Wonder how much longer she'll make it...

Yikes, I was hoping it'd broken off by now. That's ugly!

    Great shots though!

    Awesome shots, Dan!! thumb.gif

And a late welcome to my neck of the woods!! If you're still in town and have some more time to spare, check out Torrey Pines State Preserve, it's right next to the golf course and has some beautiful landscape photo opportunities!! You won't be disappointed!!

Love the Sea Lion shot! Too bad the one in mid-bark is injured... I can't tell if that's fresh or scarred, but it definitely doesn't look like it felt good!

    Great Job!!

Thanks very much. It's off Prospect on Coast Rd. in the village of La Hoya. Lot's of great restaurants and shops looking down over the cove.

Thank you Jen. That net around her neck seems to have caused quite a mess, but she seemed active and healthy. :ivar

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
