This couple was a lot of fun and their wedding and reception were ALL outdoors. They were my kickoff wedding for September craziness, the month that I have a wedding every weekend!

I looked through the entire gallery you pointed to at the bottom of your post. You got a lot of good (great?) photos there. I really enjoyed looking. It's clear to me that you did a wonderful job of capturing the celebration, the fun, the mood, and the emotions.

I hope you don't mind, but I picked out this photo from your gallery as being a prime example of the emotion (if you do mind, let me know and I'll remove the link to your gallery). I don't know the relationship here, but I think it's a wonderful photo....

Shima, these are great! I am loving the ring shot. (But you always do such great ones, I have come to expect it from you)

#8 & #9 are my other favorites of the set you posted.

Great job! And congrats on your very busy month!

Thanks for the great comments everyone! I really feel like I've grown soooooo much as a wedding photographer since I did my first "pro" wedding back in August 2007... hard to believe I've only been doing these for a little over a year now! I love seeing how I can continually improve :)

I need to post my September 13th wedding photos on here in a bit... busy week at work though for my weekday job, heh.

PS - I actually took the ring shot w/ the 17-55 f2.8 IS USM. I had already put the 100mm macro away by that point. rolleyes1.gif
Though I do love my macro lens

So there's hope for the rest of us!!!

Seriously though, you're the queen of ring shots. I am always so stumped at what to do with them, and yours are always so....perfect!

    Adorable set!
    Canon 5D MkI
    50mm 1.4, 85mm 1.8, 24-70 2.8L, 35mm 1.4L, 135mm f2L

I love your work so I take that as a big compliment :D But yeah, considering you also have a 40D and 17-55 f2.8... put them to work!

My best advice is borrow the rings and just walk around and look for random stuff to place them on...for this shot I had forgotten to do a ring shot pre-ceremony, so I borrowed their rings while they were doing the rounds at the tables during the receptions... the leaves were on their head table... I also took the rings to some fake flowers and plant stuff laying around... and I shoved them in some candy too for variety... I gave myself several options to work with and then went and picked out my favorite afterwards. And don't be afraid to look silly while you're doing it! I was huddled over the table reallly close for this (and on one was at the table at the time) and one of guests came over and was like "what are you doing?!?!?" he thought I was getting a boring picture of the table cloth the way I was leaned over, lol.

    Wedding shots
Quite nice...love the skin tones. Ring shot is great. Good job. I know they will be happy they hired you.
Remember, no one may want you to take pictures, but they all want to see them.
Educate yourself like you'll live forever and live like you'll die tomorrow.
