    Hi Idlewild, I like the black & white version of these two shots as well.
    It pulls out more detail in the head and body of the spider.
    I must say though, sad it takes away from the beauty of that green body.

    Thanks for all the nice comments. Truth be told, I didn't have my D300 w/ me this day, only an Olympus FE-340 P and S. I keep it in my work vehicle....just in case. I stopped to get gas in the truck and there he was sitting on the pump handle...thank goodness he was sittting on the premium handle and not the regular.....I would have hated to ask him to move. :D
