New poll format - can't see my own results?

I noticed the poll format has been changed recently. When setting up one for the Challenge forum, I was thrilled to see the preview option and the ability to close the poll after a few days. However, when going to my thread, I was unable to view the results of the poll - told I had 'insufficient privileges'. Even after voting, I cannot see the results. I preferred the previous format where one could see the vote count after submitting a vote. I noticed in the set-up options that you could make the poll results public but this included putting in who voted for what so I did not enable that particular function. Any insight on the new polls is greatly appreciated.

I have already been in contact with the moderators of that forum on the contest and challenge board. I also am having the same problem. My poll closed yesterday automaticly but didn't let me see the results. I logged out and looked...and I logged in and looked.

What I have discovered is I can only see poll results of polls that have closed and I have not voted on. I voted on my opinion poll in hopes of seeing the results earlier...but then they changed the way they are doing polls. I agree with the way they are doing it for the contests...it just that it kinda has a bug in it. I hope they get it cleared up before the actual voting takes place.

Hmm...this might be a bug. Did you try clearing your browser cache before looking at it again? We'll investigate.

FTR, Eoren's wasn't a bug, he just set the close date later than he thought. I closed the poll and all is well.

So far, the "bug" only exists with JAG ne_nau.gif

However, in the 'old' poll format, we did not need to close the poll in order to see results. I wonder what would have happened if I left that part blank - ie left the poll open indefinitely. Would I then have been able to see results? I noticed that some other polls posted in that forum say that the poll is closed and results are pending - yet I can't see the results.

ok...today I can see the poll results. Whoever or whatever seemed to have fixed it. I can see all polls...even the ones I voted on and my own poll results.

    Thanks for helping out guys/gals.thumb.gif
