J: It's good advice SandS. As Nike recommends: Just Do It. (no special technique required :D )

H: Move all around your subject, looking for that special angle and light. Then shoot.

J: Don't fall into the habit of shooting everything from a height of three to six feet. (This is where an articulating/swivel LCD comes in handy).

H: Get down in the mud if necessary, or climb a ladder. The dirtier your jeans, the better your photography. Simple as that.

    So true
Lift the camera above your head, or stand on a chair, rock, or stairs. Bend down and shoot low (knee pads may come in handy), lay down, or just sit down. Anything just to get a point of view that is not typical head height. And the choice of high or low depends on the subject and how you want to portray it (dominant, diminutive, grand, or just plain funky).

The only thing that limits the photographer is the surroundings and their own imagination.
