Wacom bamboo question

I want to get a graphics tablet, entry level. I think I'd be happy with the bamboo - however, I noticed that bamboos are made with a wide screen monitor in mind. However, I have a standard aspect ratio monitor. Will that negatively affect my experience? Or should I get an older graphire 4 off of ebay?
Thanks!

I have a Bamboo Fun that I use on two different machines, one 16x9 and one 3x4 aspect ratios. I have not had a problem at all.

I use a different model, but the tablet has such a high resolution that the minor difference in shape doesn't really cost you in performance at all. There are also settings in its preferences that let you map the tablet shape to the monitor shape as you wish (proportional, stretch to fill, etc.).
