This shot is from a photo shoot I wanted to do for my body man. I spotted his car and thought it would be a blast to do it and he agreed. In the meantime, our camera club (Ohio Valley Camera Club) had been invited to a get aquainted night at ProPhotoLife.com's studios owned by Jim Talkington here in Cincinnati. That night we talked and Jim thought it would be a great project to do so we brought the car to his studio for the weekend. Jim does instructional video on his website and he made a video out of our shoot which you can see here. It will explain the set up in detail and the progression from the first test shot to the final product. It was a great weekend for me and a great experience for the members of our club who were lucky enough to be participants in the shoot. Make sure to check out Jim's website for all kinds of instructionals and just plain old good talk about photography.

I really like this shot. I've seen a tactic used, in a studio environment, that would have improved on this effort....at least in my eyes. The floor detail is a distraction. Some sections of black material ....I forget what they called it ( reflects absolutely no light ).....could have been laid out around the front of the car and going back as far as necessary to completely hide the floor....the car, then, being totally surounded by black.
This comment doesn't detract from your photo, however. It's a very, very good shot.
I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

I love the car windwood, it looks to be in beautiful condition.
That particular colour RED is a head turner for sure
You'd have to be pretty pleased with this, I'm sure your friend is.
Would make a great Wall Poster.
Love your black background, I am so not into cars, but I really love this shot .... Skippy
