First off.. I must thank Bobcool!!! I took a chance sending out a couple "HELP ME" emails to a few people that had done some amazing explanations for flash usuage and bob replied with some more great help! I had been asked by a client to do a MX freestyle show - No big deal, I have done a few for them before - Oh.. Its at Night... Gulp..! Let me explain - My flash knowledge was...Limited :D. So for a week, lots of homework, trial and error and emails seeking assistance! Oh, and the fact that i panicked and bought a SB-900 Speedlight.. I believe that purchase saved me!!
This is what I came up with! I will include some shots from the daytime practices.

I learned that my timing has to get better as you basically have one shot with the flash, but overall... I am fairly please! C&C welcome...

    Looks Great!
    Woo hoo Brennan, looking good!

You sure put that SB-900 to a good first use! Looks like you froze the action really well, but even managed to get a little wheel blur to maintain the motion effect!

One suggestion - now that you can light up the drivers' faces, can you crop the pics some more? Those guys have some pretty funny looks when they are pulling these stunts that may add to the overall photo.

    Great pics, man!

Thanks guys! This was a real learnng experience for me! I was relieved when I looked at the screen after the first few shots - THEN, the fun began! Hope to do some more in a couple weeks.
