Hey, Harry, I have finally managed to take shots in Manual mode. Thanks to Nacho a good Dgrinner who helped me out. These are a few shots I took today so, as usual any help and advice is more than welcome as the C & C which I really want and truly appreciate. as I am continuing to learn although it is a long haul at my age.
Regards
Bob

    Hey Bob,
Nice set! I walk the wetlands around here a few times a week. You just never know.

I like #7 the best. With white feathers, it's hard to not complety blow it out.

Thanks Mark for taking the time to look. As I say I am a learner and have just got the hang of Manual.
    Regards
    Bob

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

You nailed the focus on four and five. Five would have been perfect if you could have moved the duck over to the right a bit leaving more room on the left for composition's sake.

Number 1 looks like there is some motion blur or for some other reason the focus is a bit soft, but I bet sharpening in your photo editor could fix that. Number 2 is excellent in my opinion. Did you use a flash? If you could tone down just the brightness in number 2 it would really shine (no pun intended.)

I do like the swan. Watch for the white plumage. Same goes for the heron. In bright sun with white plumage you almost always have to lower your exposure value a stop or stop and 1/2.
