I believe those are the only ISO values available. I do not see fractional ISO supported in the Nikon D50.

While that might seem to be a limitation, it would appear that some (if not most) cameras with fractional ISO actually increase noise versus the use of the full ISO stops. The reason may be that the fractional ISO values are somehow "synthesized" by the image processor, rather than using calibrated output from the sensor preamp circuits.

I've seen enough evidence that I will not use fracional ISO myself, with the only exception of an occasional 1250 ISO on the Canon 1D MKII (which may be a mistake).

On the D50 you can only access the other ISO possibilities by using Auto ISO. I use auto ISO quite often when in Aperture Priorityl mode. You merely set the minimum shutter speed that you want, then set your ISO to something low. The the D50 will increase it when needed, and it will use the ISOs in between the typical stops. (i.e. ISO1250)
