Great shots! I agree, the second and third one were the stand outs! What did you do differently this time? Shutter speed etc? I am hoping to get out one last time before the end of season.

still working with sports setting, or manual shutter around 4-500.
nothing else different, apart from continually trying to push the edge to fit as much subject into the lens without crowding it. All are with a 200mm zoom. the first few berm busters are fairly far away, 40-60 feet?
I need to pace it off out of curiosity, its the best corner on the track and the good riders really rip through it. as you can see..
I'm realizing you shoot "good" riders different than not so good. not so good riders won't give you berm busting like that so working a corner like that is kind of a waste, you can get better shots of the mortals in more ordinary corners. all these guys ride the expert class, at least the big guys on the 450's, not the mini's. but they're good too.
Yup, you're getting better. The shots are sharper, colors getting better. And the "moment" of capture and composition is improving as well. And yeah, you shoot the good riders a bit differently than the mortals.
I completely know where you are coming from on the riders! Only problem with the ones that make YOU say wow, they are the ones that will have no interest in buying pics from you!! Its the other guys who have to prove to buddies and family memebers that they race dirtbikes!!!!
If i do get out this weekend I will see what i come up with and post some.

By far, the second is my favorite. The first would be but it's got that ugly background.
