Odd looking critters...
Here's some shots of two odd looking "critters" I stumbled upon.
The first is an antlion. It took a lot of research to finally identify this insect. I apologize for the quality of the images, I had a horrible time trying to focus, both with AF and manual. The antlion's transparency along with its odd patterning and the screen in the background were a real challenge.
The second is an alligator snapping turtle. Again, I apologize for the quality. I was standing in the middle of a busy highway trying to block traffic and take pictures while it crossed the road. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission lists the alligator snapping turtle as a species of special concern.
Have fun,
Phil

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
Thanks Harry. Not real great images, but it gives members a chance to see something a little different.
