28 vs 300 mm. comparison with hot air balloons

Last month I was taking pictures for an internet newspaper at an event, called "Temse in de Wolken" (Temse in the clouds). There were some singers and bands playing, along with the start of some hot air balloons
Camera was the 1D Mk III with the 28-300 IS L lens from Canon. I must say this is a very good combination.
Hot air balloon(s) at 28 mm.
Basket of the balloon at 300 mm.
Another nice picture at 100 mm.
The same balloon in the dark at iso1600 (candlelightballooning)
