    Hi Andy wave.gif
I'm not seeig a CNAME or correct A record for your Domain. You need to go into your Total DNS control Panel and remove any existing CNAMES and A records. This is what you should have in there:

www CNAME pointing to domains.smugmug.com (do NOT use your SmugMug URL)
    @ A record pointing to 208.79.45.23

    Do NOT use forwarding
    Do NOT use redirects

Once you have done that go into your SmugMug Control Panel>Settings and put www.andycaplan.com as your domain. That's it your done!

If you still can't get it you can email the help desk and we can get your login info and fix it for you.

The CNAME needs to be www, not @. And it looks like the fields here are reversed. www on the left side (host column) and domains.smugmug.com for the right column (points to).

    thanks scott,
I made that change and now the smugmug.com home page comes up and when I try to enter my domain in the control panel I get an error message:
Error message: "That hostname doesn't appear to be valid. It doesn't resolve to a hostname. See our help section on custom hostnames."
so I have emailed help @ smugmug.
    cheers,
