My First Shot at the Moon

Here is my first attempt at a moon shot. It was taken with my Rebel XT and Canon EF 75-300mm F4-5.6 III USM handheld with no tripod. It was taken at 12:42 am Monday morning.

    Not bad, The exposure is pretty good, but why not lower that ISO a stop or 2 and lower the shutter a stop or 2 (handheld). In fact use a tripod next time and get that ISO at 100-200.

    yeah, don't bother with a high ISO. the moon is very bright.

    As an example, i used ISO100, F/5.6, 300mm Focal Length, Shutterspeed 1/800.

    EXIF info

    Give it a try again, a bit less grainy and you are golden.
