I did use a tripod for the shot with the lit house (#2). I haven't done any post processing...as much as I would like too!

Did not notice I was signed in as you...sry man.
I agree I think this side of town may be better for sunrise rather than sunset.
I came over to your side of town tonite and got this shot but should have paid more attention to the placemnt of the horizon.
But there is still time.
