My first pro wedding

I've shot about 8 weddings so far...including 3 last year as "trials" for a wedding photography company. Got a call on Friday for a Sat. wedding as the photo-journalist shooter was sick. My first "for pay" wedding.

Shot with my 20D and Digital rebel.

Lotta post processing to do. Downloaded the Photoshop CS2 trial. No thanks...I like RSE better at this point.

I have 5 gigs of CF cards...and I wasn't covering the reception -- so I shot RAW. Barely had enough. Glad I shot raw -- glad RSE exists. But I did not feel the freedom to rattle off the shots like I do with jpg.

Looking at what you've processed so far, your client should be very pleased, very nice candid shots.

I too downloaded the CS2 upgrade, but have since deleted it. I have been using RSE, but on the whole I prefer Bibble which is much better than the ACR plug-in. I have to decide if it's $120 better than RSE for me.

May I ask what method of BW conversion you use? I really like the effect you are getting.

It's my own homebrew script in Paint Shop Pro. I believe I used channel mixers....plus some USM.

Almost done with processing the wedding. Have the shots from the brides home (getting ready) the pre-wedding, and post-wedding done. Just have the ceremony left to process. But those are actually the least interesting due to the photography rules of the church.

Snagged this shot that the portrait shooter set up.

As photo journalist, it's my job to look for special shots.

    Hello Lee !

    20991632-L.jpg

These two shots are lovely !
    Everyone smiling and all .
Looks like they all are having a good time, and you made sure they will remember !
I like the B/W conversion too.
Together with the short haircuts of the males in the picture and the dress of the bride, it gives a "sixties" feel to the pictures.

    Succes !

    Bye,
