disable stats for certain galleries

Is is possible to disable stats for certain galleries (like those we use for avatars, or ones we just don't care for stats)? Maybe this can save SmugMug some CPU cycles (make it more "green" 
).
Also can the stats (yeah, feature request) be shown in a hierarchy like the categories and sub-categories?
That would make it much easier to see and follow when you have galleries with very similar names.
