This is the Larch Valley which is up above Moraine Lake.
Got a break in the weather and so ran up there and caught this when the light was on the larches. I was up there 2 days previous when the weather was nicer but the sun went behind the mountain at around 5:15 and put the larches in shade. Which was rough when sunset was around 7:45 (still!). So I learned and didn't think I'd get a second chance... it was snowing much of this day... but I got something salvageable.
The day we left was freaking GORGEOUS and I saw about 100 portfolio-quality shots on the way out... but I had to drive. :-/
