Adapters from other lenses to canon EOS

Several question regarding the above subject:
What is a reasonable price for Contax --->Canon adapter
Within the obvious limitations do they work as well as advertised
Any other useful information would be much appreciated

    I have 2 - M42 to EOS adapters and I do use them occasionally with Pentax screwmount lenses.

    "Reasonable" is a very relative term and the better adapters do cost more money, but most of the improvement is pretty subtle.

    I recommend an inexpensive adapter to start with and then, if that doesn't work for you, migrate to the more expensive until you find one that works.

    I use very inexpensive adapters and I haven't found a need to upgrade.
