Lovely models in all three posts but I think your lens selection may be off. Wide angles are rarely flattering for full-body portraits and you can see in the third photo on this post just how short and squat it makes your model appear.

My advice would be to use a minimum of an 85 mm lens (on a FF camera) for this type of shooting. If you can, a 200 mm is great for full body shots. Yeah, you need lots of space but that lens will be MUCH more flattering.

There's an old saying that one difference between fashion and porn is that in porn they use wide angle lenses and in fashion they use longer lenses. Yes, that's a gross over-simplification but it makes the point.

    Thanks for the feedback.

I hear what is said about lenses. I hope to be able to invest in some soon. Right now I just have a Canon 40D with the kit 17-85mm. I also have a 55mm f1.8 but and still need to practice on properly using it. :)

15524779-Ti.gif Using a wider angle lens could be a 'look' if you are wanting to go for such a thing, I guess, but I really do not like her expressions in these shots. There is not a hint of "I like being here" in the shots, I think, if that makes sense.
