Gary Fong Puffer Q

Has anyone used the puffer diffuser by Gary Fong for pop-up flashes? I was thinking of getting it as a compact companion when I am carrying less gear. Just wondering if anyone has any experience with it:

Hello, I have 2, it actually works great !!!! When I am using my 18 to 200 vr, i get a dark spot on the bottom of my pic, when I put this on it goes away. It makes the pic slghtly darker on my d200 but I turn up the exp comp up one click and it makes for some soft lighting. I say go for it, i do when i dont want to lug out the SB800.

Here is an alternate to the "Puffer":

Apparently it only comes in the white diffuser, unlike what the pictures show.
... or this, with all three of the diffusers:

I would much rather recommend the "Lumiquest Soft Screen" or similar "Pixco" diffuser:

These are a more efficient design and have a rear reflector with a little less light loss. They also fold flatter and cost less.
