Tamron 18mm-200mm for Sony Alpha DSLR

Any Sony Alpha users out there who use the Tamron 18-200mm lens? Please let me know your opionion of this lens.

    I did last year before I switched over to Nikon. I was impressed with the lens. Having owned both the Sony 18-200mm and Tamron 18-200mm, I much preferred the Tamron for its construction.

    Hmm, I didn't even know it existed. I'd love to try it out - I just switched from the 70-300 to the 28-300, but I'm still going to have to carry my 18-70 with me because I love the area from 18-28!

    I'm switching from the kit lens a Sony 18-70mm. I love the 18mm too. Years ago I had a Tamron 28-200mm with my film SLR and really loved working with it.

    I have the Tamron for the Nikon - its a little soft wide open, but I tend to find myself using it over the Nikon 24-85 because of the extra range. In good light it takes good pictures.
