When did Canon have their logo with a blue background? I know China has the highest protection for copyrights and such, so I don't think it's a fake sticker.
    :D

Anyway, it looks hand holdable for the zoos, in case I want pictures of animals pores on their noses or something.

I think this would solve Baldy's dilemma for that enormous panorama he's been shooting for. :D

It's only manual focus. Sorry, I take too many bifs and other action shots so I need the AF. Plus it is F14 so it is useless in low-light situations. rolleyes1.gif

Hey, Andy, maybe you can convince Vincent Laforet to test this lens with the 5D Mk II.

sure, if he wanted a photo of the NYC skyline, from San Fran!

What application could this possibly be designed for? Astrophotography would likely get better use from a real telescope than this? I can really only think of one application: photographing someone or something that you don't want to know is being photographed. Chinese 'company' indeed.

Whah? Engineers will build a custom mount? You mean to tell me its an FD mount? Might as well budget $55,030 (plus those refrigerator shipping charges) and get this

Heck ... at a mere 220 lbs, without the stand, I could shoot all the surfers in the county from just one location. No more driving up and down the coast.

But first I need to check to see if I have enough extra room in my camera bag to squeeze this baby in.

If that thing doesn't quite make a useful photographic tool, you could always use it as a coffin for one, very enthusiastic, photog.
