wings.gif excellent light. compositions are good, love #1 alot!thumb.gif

horizon on #3 is a little sked... but that FG was a great choice and the light separation between FG & BG is really cool..

good work Walter, wish id been there too

I like the light in #1 and #2, but they're a bit dark and contrasty. By any chance did you do a levels adjustment and bump up the black point without adjusting the overall exposure? Something just looks a bit off to me; I can't quite place it. There's a lot of potential there though.

#3 strikes me as fairly crooked on the horizon. Rocks don't flow like water so they won't escape off the right side of the screen, but still I feel a tilt in the force.

Thanks Aaron. I'll look into what's up with #3. Too blown out right now. Spent this afternoon doing some documentation shots at a gold mine about 80 miles to the west. This week's theme was something Marc said about, "No distractions other than eating and sleeping", (< poor paraphrase). Good, bad, or indifferent, it all keeps me going.

I'm thinking about going back out next week or the week after for 3-4 days. There's a series of buttes that run about two miles long that I'd like to explore. Nice out there- quiet. Didn't see another person out there for the better part of three days. About 20 miles from this spot there's a 6' scarp from an earthquake a few years ago that runs maybe a half mile long. I'm thinking that might be freakishly interesting to go hang out at for a day.

Also Aaron, if you ever want to camp for a night or two in the often overlooked backcountry of the white heart, just drop me a pm.
