    I really like #2. Your treatment of the picture has turned it from a so-so capture in #1 to something that reminds me of a classic beauty in the reniassance time.
    Have you softened the background on a fair number of these? For my tastes its a bit too blurred on my screen- however, if that's your style I'm sure most people won't mind and will appreicate the attention on the subject.
    For not having good lighting conditions you've sure done a good job of placing your subjects so that the direct sun wouldn't hurt the photo- only in #8 can I see the girl with the blue ribbon face is a bit too overblown.
    These are very cute, sharp and you've probably pleased the subjects alot.

    One of those large 5 n 1 reflectors/diffusers you can get on ebay for about $30 would work wonders on 8,6,4 and probably 5. Just have one of the kids not in the photo, hold it.

    In a pinch you can even get by with a large piece of cardboard from the garage (it helps when using the cardboard if there is some light kicking off something to the right of them like the side of a bldg).
