Wow, that's quite a big lens that you used. Those animals were never that close through my view finder. I like the giraffe shot.

I loved the Oakland Zoo. All the animals felt so up close and personal there. The Meerkat exhibit is pretty neat there. :)

Those are excellent shots Roy. I was at a wildlife park last week and I used my 50-500 I also have a 70-300 so I may just use it next week when I visit Chester Zoo as the 500 on the 40D gets quite heavy after a long while.
    Regards

were you on a tripod? I never get focus that sharp out of my sigma 70-300. Nice shots!

    Thanks All For The comments...

well these shots were hand held.... to get a better POV on the Birds, i got low to rail and used the rail steadiness.... but the rest was all Hand held shots...

i bought a monopod to use, however it seemed to be more a pain then not to have it lol... soo i let the person that was with me use it with their P&S since she couldnt get a decent shot with out it lol....

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
