Thanks for looking and commenting Angie. Appreciated.
There was a red umbrella laying around so we stuck it in front of the flash. Thought the result sort of looked like stage lighting? Anyway, just experimenting.
After looking, I agree with #2 needing more contrast.
I like 3 & 4 also but I think #6 is my favorite but I sure wish her leg wasn't cut off.

I think number 3 is the best, the idea of the red umbrela is not bad, I would have liked to see it used as a back light though... or in the secondary flash... the last one with the head band is just too much... but the ones of the girl and the guitar alone seem more natural, and more of my liking.
#2 and #4 are my favs! I really dig the red umbrella cast, very cool!!! The reason why 2 and 4 are my favourites is mostly because of the composition, they are the most appealing to me when compared to the other pictures!
I like three. Interaction between a subject and an instrument is key...it's not just a prop to a musician. Also; beautiful models (both Fender and girl).

Thanks for looking and commenting. Seems as if #3 is coming out to the favorite. Gonna play with the colored flashes some more and see what we come up with.

Thanks so much for your time and feedback. Good advice for any future shots with musicians. I take it the "Fender" is the guitar since I know what a "girl" is ... lol. Kool that you recognized it. You a musician?
I'm liking 3-end very well. #4 wish she were looking at her guitar but still a nice shot with lighting. I agree the 2nd could use a boost in contrast a tad. Nice shots.

#1 has too much of a red cast
#2 has the same problem (I think) + it could handle a bit more contrast

Personally, I like the effect. Nice series.
Despite the high cost of living, it remains popular.
Why do people post their equipment in their sig. Isn't it kind of like bragging? That having been said...
