The interesting thing about this image is that it was captured with my Nikon 70-300mm lens. Not the VR version. Just the old, inexpensive zoom. I consistently get great results with this lens at 300mm. For less than $200 it's a steal.

As long as you have good light the cheaper lenses work very well. The first image I sold was taken with my 24-120.
