Another of my September Weddings (9-20-2008)
Slowly getting caught up with posting wedding photos from this month, so today I present photos from the Serbian Orthodox wedding I had on the 20th of September this year. This was probably the longest ceremony I've had to photograph so far... it took a full hour! But it was a lot of fun getting to give my 70-200 f2.8/L IS a work out and make it earns it cost. Enjoy! (not in any particular order by the way...)
1. I love the background / sunset going on
2. Those sandals were too cute
3. Being announced at the reception
4. My favorite reception dance shot (during the dollar dance)
5.
6. 70-200 at work
7. Part of the ceremony involved crowning the bride and groom
8. Ceiling of the church, I really dig this shot
9. Incense stuff
10. Not my best ring shot, but wait until you see the ring shot I took at the wedding I second shot with urbanaries at this past weekend!
11. One more 70-200 shot

I like this ring shot, too. I applaud your lighting in this one, how you captured the reflection of the room in that gold band....reeeeeally nice!!!
6 and 7 are quite lovely, and I typically don't care for ceremony shots...but these are very well done! I love the "crowning" shot, shows off the beautiful mural in the background, very nice framing! You have a knack for picking the best perspectives to shoot a moment.
8 is gorgeous....wow!
(IT IS KILLING ME TO NOT BE ABLE TO POST YOUR SHOTS FROM SATURDAY! Send good Karma to the Cable guy this afternoon.)
50mm 1.4, 85mm 1.8, 24-70 2.8L, 35mm 1.4L, 135mm f2L

Maybe I just am too critical because if you look REALLLLLY carefully you can see a bit of me reflected in the ring.
Hey, I uploaded my favorites to my portfolio (since I head down to Indy near you tonight and wanted to at least get my faves online).... so *I* could post my ring shot if need be.... hehe. But I'll just send good karma your way and hope the cable guy fixes thing. I had such a blast shooting with you!
