Mouse
This little fella was caught in a glue trap. I'd never seen them before, but they work very well.

I have to say this turns my stomach a bit. Did you atleast give it a swift death after the photoshoot?

I would hope so. Entertaining one's self by documenting the suffering of an intelligent, sensitive creature? I don't get it.

The image is OK but the DOF was a tad too shallow.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
Yea, whatever mate!!
I would take your comment, if you had any idea what the mouse's outcome was.
It was let go.

I'm sorry for thinking the worst of you Maynard, not knowing anything, really.
Good on'ya for letting the little fella go.

I realise the damage that mice can do to a house and I wouldn't hesitate to kill them to protect my own. But I believe that all life has the right to die with some dignity and the least amount of suffering. If the mouse had died that day I would consider taking it's picture first to be undigified and cruel. Now that we know that the mouse was let go it's a whole other story.

No worries Malte
To tell you the truth, I never even considered the feelings people have towards animals, when I posted it. In my eyes, it was just a shot of a mouse.
I was just impressed with the look on the mouse's face, but it obviously had an impact on most who viewed it.
Next time, I'll think before posting a shot. Although, it's not everyday I find trapped animals to 'shoot'.
I have lived through the odd mouse plague or two in Australia, and you do get used to the little buggers running up your leg when sleeping. You even get used to the smell! Just like corn chips:D
Anyway, have a nice day mate!!
