Moving Gallery to another Category

I want to move a gallery to another category. Is there an easy way to do this without creating a new gallery in that other category, and moving photos from the old to the new gallery? My problem with moving photos is that the photos get all out of sequence and I have to customize the gallery again. It would be nice if the galleries can be readily moved to categories.

    Under gallery tools > customize gallery change the category at the top.
