    Hi Craig,

Good one here, buddy. I wonder, is this the actual cannon that was used in firing the stomic shells when they were doing the testing?

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

Wonderful image Craig, love the color and the winter-like vegetation.
Found some interesting info on it here
Apparently it is the one which fired the test shot in NV in 1953. The first and last nuclear round fired from an artillery piece.

    Howdy Tom,

Thanks, it was a neat adventure into the past, and I loved seeing all the old armaments, plus the Post history was very interesting also.

    Howdy Jack,

Thanks, that's an interesting site, it kind of confirms what I read briefly at the site.

Good subject for IR. Great composition. Any reason why you didn't process it to get white for the vegetation and trees?
    More Photography . . . Less Photoshop [. . . except when I do it]

    Howdy Jeff,

    Thanks for the kind reply.

The leaf color was just one of those "surprises" when the channel swap was completed, along with some saturation.

I kind of like the different color.
    Take care,
