Shot this for the contest at dusk but have decided to use another. So I post this here.

Very nicely done. I might have tried to erase that squiggly stuff at the bottom of the frame as it tends to catch the eye. It is a very good picture anyway, though. The lighting is super.

Great back lighting. Very good DOF and focus, too!

It is nice to see an open rose, most of the time photos are of roses that are closed up. Great job. thumb.gif
    Thanks,

Pretty sweet. Nice translucent look along with sharp.
The edge (slight glow) of the low green leaf seems odd.
Have seen this "effect" in other pictures.

Thanks for all the nice comments.iloveyou.gif

The edge effect you refer to is from PS. It comes from using the blur I think. It is not noticeable in the orig pic but the conversion to jpeg, web color space, and the reduction in file size to make it postable seems to bring it out.

I'll guess I'll have to work on that a little.

Hi Jim, what a lovely picture, I love the lighting on the petals in this shot.

I see someone pointed out the odd almost Neon shape at the bottom of the image, not sure what that is, but I'm sure you can easily clone it out.

Lovely shot, good luck with your entry into the comp! thumb.gif ... Skippy :D
