Nice captures. I took probably 50 shots of the same plane when it flew into Jacksonville last year. On that trip, it was accompanied by a B-17 called the " 909 ". This year, I took a flight ( lasted about 45 minutes ) on a B-17 and that was a real thrill..... cost me $400.00 bucks but it was worth every nickel. The two most lasting impressions about that flight were 1 ) how loud it was and 2 ) how cramped the quarters were.
In my mind, it took real heroes to climb in those things and go to battle for hours-on-end at 25,000 to 30,000 ft. That had to be anything but a walk-in-the-park.
