Reflections of a beautifull Spider!

shot at Whixall moss, the uk s rarest & largest spider.
EUROPEAN RAFT SPIDER Dolomedes fimbriatus.
not seen any last 4 trips to the mosses finally got lucky, only 2 year olds so not full size yet.have seen these eating darter dragonflys & frogs!
difficult to get good exposure with the peaty coloured water reflecting the flash!. got very wet shooting these, lying over the water,left elbow on sinking peat bog!
took flash & natural light shots,still got load to sort through yet.

thanks Elaine. they are only found in very localized areas living in peat bogs. mainly in the south of england ,only in 2 places further north where i live.
