First session with Canon 50D
Last night I had a chance to put my new 50D through some real life shooting. The images below are pretty much straight conversions from RAW via DPP (gosh, I miss Bridge CS4/ACR5.0 already) , some may be minimally cropped, but that's about it, no PS.
1. Meet Whitney:
2. Who's there:
3. Are you talking to me?
4. Walking the path
5. Green dress
6. Backlit by sunset
7. Jumpy:
8. Flirty:
9. Moonlit portrait:
10. Moon and silhouette:
The rest of the selection (with exifs and such) is here: http://nik.smugmug.com/gallery/6121452_kd7nP
C&C welcome!

The only one that doesn't look quite right to me is #5 (the green dress), I think it could use some color boost & it looks a bit too blue
My favorites are 6 & 8
Angie, thanks!
I had an idea of DSS9 in the back of my mind, so I didn't do much PP. Besides, the ACR support for this camera is still weeks (if not month) away, and using DPP is a *major* PITA . Last night I spent almost 5 hours dealing with meager 400+ frames (not bad for one-hour shoot:-), 4 of them was due to the software inconvenience / inefficiency / sluggishness. :bash

So far - so good. Running off to sunrise shoot, more later
...er...or are they just natural light?

Agreed. #9 is some of the best work I've seen from the Darth shooter - my 2 cents, of course - but I love it.
