Where'd you get those peepers ?

Two flies with interesting eyes. First one is a flat-footed fly Platypezidae about 4mm long - these are the ones that like running around in circles on leaves at high speed. The second one is an autumnal soldier fly Sargus bipunctatus about 15mm body length.

It looks like there are nothing but the eyes in #1, first time I see a fly with biggest eyes.

I will pay attention and look around to see if there's such eyes, if Yes then I will shoot and post to this threat. Weird.
