Where'd you get those peepers ?
Two flies with interesting eyes. First one is a flat-footed fly Platypezidae about 4mm long - these are the ones that like running around in circles on leaves at high speed. The second one is an autumnal soldier fly Sargus bipunctatus about 15mm body length.
