I found a few samples for the G10 here, from Canon. They look very good, but they are all at ISO 80 and most were shot at either 4.0 or 4.5, has anyone seen any high ISO samples? :ear

I do not expect the high iso to be any different or better than the G9, really. But who knows, we may be surprised with Digic4 :D

Mine will be in my hands Monday, it shipped yesterday.

Just arrived. I'll be using it in Utah for all the P&S on the Shootout.

If the corners are sharp @ 28mm, I'm gonna call Maxmax, and mod it for IR when I return.

    How is the shutter lag?

Can you see if it really has the 2:3 formats? They are not listed in the specs on Canon's website, I know dpreview lists them. ne_nau.gif

dpr suggests that there are 3:2 formats, but does not list any.

The G10 User's Guide: PSG10_CUG_EN.pdf lists no 3:2 formats. It does list several 4:3 formats from 4416:3312 to 640:480 and a single 16:9 format: 4416:2480.

    Whole buncha sample pics here:

I'm impressed with the image quality. Sharp to the corners, little to no CA under challenging light!

Infrared Update! Maxmax is making an IR mod for me on a 2nd G10, and I should have it next week.

I have that same Maxim mag. The side view of her bum is absolutely mesmerizing.

And then there's cameras and stuff. Yeah. Canon cameras, so I hear.

Thanks for the high ISO shots and others. The movie looks good as well. Canon made a very nice P&S camera for $500. thumb.gif
