Female Boat-tailed Grackle

We all see them around any body of water and in our backyards, but for some reason you don't see many photos of the Female Grackel. I assume we just feel that they are just too common. But in fact, it is a very interesting bird...........

    A little bright Ira but a nice sequence. It is always nice to see the "suburban" birds back in a natural environment. The first and second to last stand out.

    Nice set! I have a lot of these in my backyard, but as you say the males are the most prevalent and least camera-shy. I haven't had much luck in the past but hope to snag a few pics this weekend--now that we restocked on bird food and they are all sittin' around ready to eat!
