Hanging by a rope...

I went out for a climb on Sunday and with a friend trying to complete a new project climb, I spent a fair amount of the morning hanging along side for a few photo's.
Unfortunately after 4 good attempts at sending this new climb he was beaten by it until next time.

It starts out of sight for me around a corner, but this is a dynamic move to the first descent holds for a quick shake out of the forearms.

Followed by a tall move to some ultra small holds

With the final move being a high foot rock-over to the top out.
This is the move he fell from on his last attempt.

I like the first shot the best. You can see the strain in his muscles and facial expression. Well done.

    I miss climbing. :cry
    Thanks,

    1 & 3 are very nice shots.
1 shows the exertion and 3 is a great perspective while still retaining sharpness of the climber.

The issue with 2 is there's no real story there. Still close to the ground, not a particularly interesting move - in short, no story.

3 is definitely my favorite - it has the best 'story'.

    Good job!

Thank you all for your comments, I think the first is my favourite too.:D
These were shot with the 17-85mm to get in a little closer to the action.
