    The shot works, one kitty looking out at who knows what. But the lighting doesn't seem right.

    yeah I like it, but I'm also big on cats. focus is nice as it brings the cat to the foreground.

    Maybe the cats back could be a bit brighter to bring out the coats shine and stripes?

    He/she does look very intense, but then cats often do:D

    Thanks--it's edge-lit, Sandy. Setting sun. Here's a larger version. Cat had just rolled in the dirt, so the darkness of her back worked for me. Maybe not for the challenge.

    I like this shot, and I think the light is good, but is this a crop? To get more of a sense of 'one' I personally would add a little more negative space on the left and the top.
