This was shot in the Serengeti. The Maasai warrior was intrigued by the flashlight.

I poked around your smugmug site and all I can say is WOW. The places you have been, the things you have seen and captured...it's been a real pleasure to see your work and I hope you stay here at Dgrin! We can all learn from you. deal.gif

One question, what's the story behind the Masai warrior wearing the Boston Red Sox cap? Being a lifelong Sox fan myself, I need to know! :D

Hey DJS1, thanks for the comments. I went to school at Boston College and became a Sox fan, so now my hat goes with me everywhere I travel. The Maasai wanted to wear my hat when I was taken pictures. He is one of the two that guarded our camp. We got lost in the Serengeti and we had guards for the predators roaming the landscape. Thanks again.

Great capture, sometimes a photo has no need for the technical aspects that we sometimes get caught up in trying to achieve. In the end the photo could be great technically but not tell a story.

There is a story here which is why I liked it so much.

I also visited your website and its quite obvious you are out there exploring amazing places and people. Great work...

    Cheers

    Dave
