Suffering from a late night, the alarm came way to early on this day. 4:15am with flashlight in hand, we headed up hill hoping that the weather would co-operate. It did and when the light came we knew the 25 min hike up was worth it.
This is the town of Trinity Newfoundland. Amazing people and a beautiful place. It was one of many stops in our 7 day adventure thru the penisulas of Newfoundland.

That's a wallhanger for sure! Congratulations, and it certainly was worth the early rise and the walk.

Absolutely beautiful. All that for only a 25 minute hike. Quite a deal, I'd say.

There is a bit of a story to this location.. The previous day I had hiked up there hoping to get the sunset. But when I reached the top it was a little early. So after snapping off a few series of panos I didnt have alot to do. So i decided to read thru my D3 manual to kill a bit of time..That was around 5:45pm. Well before I knew it, I was fast asleep up there and woke up around 8:30pm. The only reason I woke up was the town was having a festival below me and they were blasting Neil Diamond music. So I woke up listening to "SONG SONG BLUE " wondering where in the hell was I ? Of course it was pitch black and the sunset was long gone..After hiking back down chuckling about the whole thing, I decided that the next morning I would make ammends and hike back up there..After getting to sleep around 12:30am, the 4:15 alarm was not a welcome sound. But I made it back up there and was rewarded with an incredible morning.
    Thanks for the comments..

I am happy to see that because if you could get that sharpness without a tripod I would have had to ban you.

The aspect that caught my attention the most is the sharpness in the homes in the bottom of the picture....the colors are magnificent but that clarity below with that light is amazing. Very nice.

Hahahaha, I learned along time ago that the tripod is my friend. Sure it sux having to haul it around everywhere but its worth it. Now its just 2nd nature to strap it on the backpack and head out.

    Cheers
