This is the reason that I don't have any Native Green Tree frogs in my backyard....... a Cuban Tree Frog

Nice image anyhow...I like the spread webbed feet. I am assuming these are an invasive species that came across on logs and boats from Cuba.

Yes, It's an invasive species. They started in south Florida and now have moved North. They get to be as large as 5" in length, and they are compeating with the small native Green Tree Frogs for food, and in fact are known to eat our native species ( the native Tree Frog is only 1 1/2" to 2" in size).

The greenies may still be there. We noticed here as well that the natives seem to have vanished replaced by cubans but walking the yard with a flashlight has revealed nearly a dozen natives. I think they are just becomming more careful about where they hide and feed.

    Nice Shot btw

If you two ever venture to the Texas Coast from Beaumont on down to Brownsville, you will see them for sure. I wish I had them up here where I am in North Texas.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
