Gwaire2, welcome to the Digital Grin.
I don't have the device but it appears as though the "Adorama Macro Flecta Reflector" is a simple reflector similar to things I used to make for product photography.
Basically you would use a combination of back and side lighting and this reflector uses the 'back lighting' reflected back onto the subject to reduce shadows and provide more even lighting. It would be used as a type of diffused fill light for the subject.
It would also reduce the impact of the reflected image of the camera and tripod, etc. in a highly reflective subject.

thank you both for the replies! I did my h/w on it and I know why I bought it but my question was rather aloof I guess, I need to know how to affix it to the lens! I know it sounds crazy, but it has velcro straps to keep it in place, basically the only place for them would be in the way! It is a simple white/silver 12" reflector with a hole in the center and then has 2 sets of velcro straps. On a normal cylindrical piece of anything the straps would be put on the back but instead I have a camera body! I guess I'll need to supply a photo!
Feel free to take photos that show the problem but your best recourse for competent help is probably at Adorama itself:

Give them plenty of time to respond as these are holiday periods for both Adorama and B&H.
