Google Analytics Tracking Problem

Well, I inserted the provided google script into my footer - the last code in my footer. But, when I try to check status I get "Google Analytics tracking code has not been detected on your website's home page".

I have tried both sets of code provided by Google with the same result.

Any suggestions would be appreciated?

Did you make sure to put it in your Custom Footer box, not the Footer Javascript box?

Did you cut and paste the code Google gave you so you're sure there are no typos?

I wonder if maybe it's conflicting with your stat counter code. Google warns that the code could conflict with any other scripts you have running on the page. Have you tried moving it after your stat counter code?

how long did you give it to detect the code?

it has been a while since i have done mine but if i remember correctly it was at least a day.

If you're still having problems with GA I can give you an extended free trial of my analytics. My service isn't free but is much more user friendly and offers everything GA does with better frequency and a much better CP.

However, DO NOT sign up at my site http://www.traffictrackerinfo.com. The pricing there is corporate and I offer MUCH better rates to dgrinners/smugmuggers thumb.gif
