These birdies were so far out there (+80yds) just had to try this. Manual focus is very tricky but most came out even with hugh crop.
500L + 2x canon + 1.4x TamronPro = 1400 (2240mm in 35mm :D)
Common Snipe

Hey Allen. I think these turned out well considered the stacked TCs. The second one with the high key foreground and background is nice. I think that is a greater yellowlegs. The snipes are nice as well with some nice detail in the plumage. You did well getting a view of one mostly unobstructed. I'd like to photograph a snipe one day. I just do not have access to them where I live.

It takes a steady hand to get results like this with stacked TCs on a 500. Great work.

Thanks Stephen, at least I can document the bird with a half way decent
photo now. :D No way to get close to them out in the flat. I think it's a
Lessor with the bill not turned up.

The second one is a beautiful capture Allen. clap.gif I would be tempted to rework the image and try to clone most of the vegetation out of the image.

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
